Registration

NOTE: The registration process starts with the maximum fee of a late Full Registration as the default at 695 € but in step 5 of the registration process, a discount will be given based on your actual registration selected. Then, you will see the actual fee from the table above.

Each Author Registration covers up to 2 papers in which the registrant appears in the author list. The publication fees are included. Papers can be presented by co-authors, too. The Author Registration must be initiated by May 20th, 2026, for the paper(s) to be included in the SMACD 2026 Proceedings.

If you register as Author, please include your Paper ID(s) (up to two) in the field "Reference" of the second step of the registration process. If you have no paper, please state "NO PAPER" in this field. If you forgot to state the Paper ID(s) during registration, please simply send an email to info@smacd-conference.org.

Both Author Registration and Full Registration "Author & Full Registration" include full access to the tutorial day, the technical program and electronic proceedings, welcome reception, gala dinner, coffee breaks and lunches for all days of the conference (June 29th to July 2nd).

NOTE: The registration system requires you to set a contradicting entry: ONLY for “Author & Full Registration”, please add both “Welcome Reception (as part of the full registration)” and “Gala Dinner (as part of the full registration)” to your chart to ensure complete full registration also to these events (each at no costs because the costs are part of this specific registration type, already).

NOTE: Payment is not required by the May 20th to keep the deadline. Your conference registration is binding once you are officially recorded in our system. Any additional clarifications regarding payment can be processed also after the deadline.

The registration will be approved after a manual check, therefore, please expect a delay. The procedure is:

1. Read the important notes in https://smacd-conference.org/register.html
2. Register via Register Event
3. Confirm email “Please confirm your registration for ‘SMACD 2026’”
4. You are officially recorded upon email “Your booking for ‘SMACD 2026’ is being checked” → once here, you kept the deadline
5. After manually checking IEEE membership/student status, the email “Confirmation of Participation in ‘SMACD 2026’” will be sent
6. Payment will be filed via bank transfer. For this, you will receive an invoice separately. NOTE: this might take time, even as long as after the event.

If you are IEEE member, please submit a your certificate or other proof or evidence to: info@smacd-conference.org. In the email, please indicate your registration number (NOT the paper number) or simply forward your registration confirmation email. It is necessary for the approval.

Extra Welcome Reception & Extra Gala Dinner Registration can be combined with all options but they are NOT needed for the "Author & Full Registration" (consider the note above).

Delegate registration includes full access to the tutorial day, the technical program and electronic proceedings, coffee breaks and lunches. Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner are NOT included but can be booked separately. NOTE: there is an error in the registration system regarding the non-IEEE costs. The table above holds true: Delegate (non IEEE) is 555 € / 595 € which will be the values on the invoice even though shown differently on registration.

Student registration includes the conference days without tutorial day (June 30th to July 2nd). Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner are NOT included but can be booked separately. Please note that Student registration does not cover the presentation and publication of a paper. At least one author must register at the Author rate. However, a student may present a paper that is already registered at the Author rate.

Refund policy: All registration fees covering a paper are non-refundable. Other registrations are refundable (minus 100€ processing fee) until May 28th, 2026. NOTE: in case, you need to update your registration (e.g., you selected IEEE as non-IEEE), please simply re-register with the correct selection and send uns an email with both your new registration number and your old registration number. We will re-allocate your registration to the new record at no extra costs.

The SMACD conference registration fee is exempt from VAT in accordance with §4 No.22a UStG. VAT applies only to evening events.

VAT values are based on assumptions and may vary slightly depending on attendance.
