Getting to Seville

Seville is easy to reach: an international airport ten kilometres from the centre, high-speed trains to Madrid in about two and a half hours, and good motorways from Portugal and the rest of Spain.

By plane

Seville Airport (SVQ, San Pablo) has direct flights from many European cities. From further away, connect through Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon or another European hub.

  • Airport bus (line EA): to the city centre via Santa Justa train station and Prado de San Sebastián, roughly every 20–30 minutes; about 35 minutes. €6 single, €8 return (2026 fares), payable on board.
  • Taxi: fixed fare to the city centre, about €25 on weekdays (7:00–21:00) and about €28 at night, at weekends and on holidays; 15–20 minutes.

Other airports: Málaga (AGP) has more long-haul routes and is about two hours away by train; Jerez (XRY) is about an hour away; Faro (FAO), in Portugal, about two hours by road. For Madrid (MAD), take the high-speed train from Madrid-Atocha (see below).

By train

Trains arrive at Sevilla-Santa Justa, on the edge of the city centre.

  • From Madrid: high-speed trains from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha in about 2 h 30 min, many times a day, run by Renfe, iryo and Ouigo. Booking early is much cheaper.
  • From elsewhere in Spain: Córdoba is 45 minutes away; there are direct trains from Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga and Cádiz.

By coach

Long-distance coaches arrive at the Plaza de Armas bus station (most routes, including from Portugal) or Prado de San Sebastián (Andalusia), both central.

By car

Seville is on the A-4 from Madrid (about 5 h 30 min), the A-49 from Huelva and Portugal (Faro about 2 h) and the A-66 from the north. Parking in the old town is scarce and expensive, and much of it is restricted to residents: leave the car at your hotel or a public car park and walk or take the bus.
